Important COVID-19 Information

yellow divider

During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic we are operating a normal service.
The safety and wellbeing of our clients and staff is of the upmost importance and to ensure this we have put into place a number of extra steps in accordance with the latest expert advice:

Infection control and prevention procedures

We know that many of the clients we are taking care of are in one of the highest risk groups. This is something we are taking seriously. Our staff are all trained in infection & prevention control and our infection control policies and procedures have all been fully implemented and monitored on a regular basis.

We are following all the latest NHS and Government guidelines including Department of Health and Social Care and Public Health England. All our staff are complying fully with hand sanitisation policies and procedures and management are ensuring the provision of all requires resources such as masks, gloves and hand sanitiser gels.

All staff adhere to the following:

• Covering their mouth and nose with a tissue or their sleeve when they cough or sneeze. They do not use their hands.
• Tissues are disposed in a bin straightaway.
• Wash their hands with soap and water regularly for at least 20 seconds or use a hand sanitiser which has at least 60% alcohol.
• Avoid close contact with those who have been unwell.
• Avoid touching their eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

We pass on all advice to our clients and ensure that staff are implementing all infection control procedures in the clients’ home and ask the clients to follow them too.

Local authority support for home care

yellow divider

Your local authority might be able to help with the cost of care. You can request a needs assessment before arranging care. This will help you decide on the level of care needed, if care at home is suitable for you and funding options.

When you have had a care support assessment and a financial assessment, you may be allocated a personal budget to pay for, or towards, your care. This can either be used by adult social care to provide you with care and support services, or you’ll receive a direct payment to pay for care arranged by you or someone acting on your behalf.

Attendance Allowance is a benefit that helps with the extra costs of long-term illness or disability, which can be either physical and/or mental. Attendance Allowance isn’t means-tested.

It’s paid at 2 different rates and how much you get depends on the level of care that you need.

You could get £59.70 or £89.15 a week to help with personal support if you’re both:

  • Physically or mentally disabled
  • State Pension age or older

Carers allowance

How it works

You could get Carer’s Allowance if you care for someone at least 35 hours a week and they get certain benefits.

You do not have to be related to, or live with, the person you care for.

You do not get paid extra if you care for more than one person.

If someone else also cares for the same person as you, only one of you can claim Carer’s Allowance.

Personal Health Budgets

yellow divider

A Personal Health Budget is an allocation of funds made to a person with an established health need. Currently the NHS provide Personal Health Budgets in 3 different ways; Notional Budget, Real Budget Held by Third Party and Direct Payment.

Personal health budgets are fully funded by the NHS and cannot be ‘topped up’.

Once you have confirmed your eligibility, we can work together to put a structured plan in place which will compliment your needs.
